Fee: $8 vehicle use fee but parking is free for Empire Passport holders.

Highlights: This is a great venue for introducing your family and friends to the wonderful sport of freshwater fishing. The freshwater fishing license requirement for anglers age 16 and older will be suspended for this event. Activities include open fishing, fishing instruction, fly casting demonstrations, and a fish cleaning station. Additional displays by NYS DEC and local fishing clubs. Loaner rods and free bait available free of charge but participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing tackle if possible.

Children’s activities also include temporary tattoos, hands-on educational displays by the DEC Education Unit, and a “Spring Fling” casting contest. Children participating in the casting contest will have a chance to win great prizes! No rain date scheduled.
