I fished with this high school club a few years ago aboard the Port Jeff open boat, Celtic Quest, and it’s a great group to support. The club members, parents, mentors and administrators all had a fine time catching fluke and porgies – and you could really see the learning curve being mastered. There are over 60 active participants in the club at this point. That’s a great testament of support from the school, and for the way club administrator Bob Wilson runs his ship. You can check out the club website at www.wardmelvillefishingclub.com.
